2025 Toyota GR Corolla Gets Price Hike and Some Upgrades
The 2025 Toyota GR Corolla model is up for an upgrade, and it’s about to get sportier and costlier.
The Toyota’s GR Corolla is the company’s hatchback that verges on a sports car, especially with that exterior. It has three cylinders and pumps out about 300 horsepower. Now, the 2025 Toyota GR Corolla model will see some upgrades and a price hike, which is unsurprising.
2025 Toyota GR Corolla Price Hike
Toyota has just recently released prices for the 2025 model. The good news is that the car is still available in three trims (the Circuit has been replaced with the new Premium Plus, which amounts to the same thing). The bad news is that all of them are pricier now.
Let’s start at the bottom and work our way up. The entry Core model starts at $39,995, $2360 pricier than last year’s model. This price is for the standard six-speed manual transmission. If you opt for the now-available eight-speed automatic, you must pay an extra $2000. That means the base automatic model starts at $41,575.
Next, the Premium trim’s manual transmission model begins at $42,575, which is $1120 more than before. The automatic version starts at $44,575. At the top, we have the Premium Plus trim starting at $46,650 for manual transmission and $48,650 if you choose to go automatic. This last trim also has lots of upgrades, some of them being functional air vents, a bulged hood, and a carbon-fiber roof.
Upgrades to the 2025 GR Corolla
The price hike wouldn’t be justified if the GR Corolla didn’t also sport some great upgrades. While the horsepower remains the same as the 2024 model, the torque output is a little higher in the 2025 model and matches the 2023 Morizo edition. Those three cylinders that we mentioned now generated 295 pound-feet of torque, up by 22 pound-feet from before.
Front and rear limited-slip differentials are now standard in every trim. Toyota cleaned up the suspension a little by adding new rebound springs that decrease wheel lift that happens when turning a tight corner. Automatic transmission models have an exclusive launch-control mode and adaptive cruise control.
Toyota has also worked on the GR Corolla’s exterior. The front end has received a small facelift for technical as well as aesthetic purposes. The new design supports a better airflow for smoother cooling. The new brake ducts inhale air more effectively along with an extra sub-radiator that aids cooling for track use.
Well, this upgraded 2025 Toyota GR Corolla will be out in dealerships by the end of this fall, says Toyota, so we will not have to wait for too long.
